I’m Laura! I’ve blogged on and off for the past decade, blogs that have reflected each significant chapter of my life:
- I’ve blogged about baking during my kid-free days.
- I’ve blogged about wedding planning.
- I’ve blogged about married life, pregnancy, and the early stages of parenthood.
But after life got turned upside down with the arrival of twins, a move to the suburbs, and the general craziness of life with three young children and a 9-5 non-profit job, blogging has taken a bit of a backseat.
But the absolute need for a blog has been bubbling up over the past couple of years, after I was bit by the building bug. I even have this gem of a picture of my first ever time using a power tool:
Priceless, right? I’ve since gotten my sea legs in the power tool department, and those skills have been getting put to good use after my husband Steve and I purchased a 150+ year old house last year. A house that leans just a little too much, complete with sloping floors and wavering walls. It’s just a little bit tipsy.
And since that tipsy old house needs everything from significant updates to general day-to-day improvements, design, and decor, my DIY list runs long these days.
Needless to say, the next blogging chapter of my story has begun.
